View Full Version : I need vehicle speed sensor 2 for JDM car! AWJunkies 07-23-2003, 08:21 PM It is a cable with magnets that make cable spin. well anyways people who know what I am talking about help me out. Was it ever in the old legacy's? ciper 07-23-2003, 09:05 PM Is this for an automatic car? AWJunkies 07-23-2003, 09:28 PM ahah JDM auto no it is manual! AWJunkies 07-23-2003, 09:56 PM not positive but testing something that I bet MILLION dollars on what it was and is. I just hope I didn't break the magnets and ruin the adjustments in tranny which I think I did with it being all loose now. We will see and I will explain everything when I solve it. Going for a drive will be back soon and tell you results. AWJunkies 07-23-2003, 10:20 PM I was right godam be so careful with JDM speed sensor 2 please very fragile. Where can I get another one? Please HELP!! EJ25 07-23-2003, 11:34 PM I think I have the screw in transmission part without the cable. Its from a 97 STI. (I replaced it with a three wire speed sensor), AWJunkies 07-24-2003, 12:34 AM Can you take pictures of it and send pic so I can see if it is the same? really appreciate it. EJ25 07-25-2003, 11:29 AM I had a look at the sender unit and it is mechanical. There is a flat piece that lines up with a slot in the transmission, and a cable attached to that that goes to the speedometer. There are no magnets to make the cable spin, just the flat end that fits into a slot. AWJunkies 07-26-2003, 12:26 AM OK i figured it all out and rigged up ecu and tricking it at moment. I need the short 6 inch bent peice that goes in tranny. My extension cable is fine. I broke the key! Which is the thing that connects in slot of sensor spinny thing and connects to a cable. It snapped off. So, I just need that one peice. Is it available? Please PM me or post what is up with part please. I need it as soon as possible. EJ25 07-26-2003, 05:31 PM you can go to any subaru dealership and order the key, or get one from any subaru speed sensor. AWJunkies 07-26-2003, 06:54 PM ???????? I called what year and model is it on. I already tried legacy 94-95 year? What could that part be on in the US? |
