What does it do. I have a MY 93. Mods, just a flywheel, soon to add exhaust. No knock sensor on this engine. Will this allow the engine to advance or further just retard it if it senses a knock. Any benifit. I plan to swap in a 2.5 next spring with 1.8 ecu, would this improve the situation?

I have a knocklink, yet to put it in, but all it really does is give you a gauge of the knock. Which when boosting hard, and the fuel isn't there you will get more knock. I is just another tuning tool. Not one to bet your engine on, but can help alone side widebands, and egts, and other better easier to use tuning tools.
