I just installed my Morettes. After the installation, I closed the hood but it didn't close. Seems like something is blocked. I looked in there and don't really know what's wrong.
Any idea what's going on?
Does anyone have a pic of their hood lock?
thanks

This is normal after installing Morettes because the top part of the light assemblies sits above the radiator support where the hood seal makes contact. The "solution" is to hold the hood higher before releasing it, then it will close. Over time it will get easier to close as the seal compresses to fit the Morettes.

are you sure. I tried to close it pretty hard and it didn't close.
Did you have the same problem?
I also tried to let it set and push hard downward and still didn't work.
I'll try to hold it higher before releasing it tomorrow and see if it works.
Just to be on the save side, how high did you hold yours?
thanks

Don't try to close the hood by pushing on it. Not a good idea with an aluminum hood as you can bend or dent it.
Hold it up a few feet and let it drop, it should close.
Also try loosening the mounting bolts for the lights and push them as far down as possible while retightening, that may help.
This may be obvious, but are the lights properly seated? I know when I installed the Subaru projector lights, the bottom of the light can be hard to seat properly.

mulder: you are right. I guess a 3 feet drop is not enough. I lift it up high and drop it around 4 feet and it just locked.
thanks you all.
