"7. Air Temp. Correction Setpoint is the Intake Air Temperature at which, if exceeded, will result in Fuel Correction and Timing Correction factors being applied to all load points in the fuel and timing maps. You can use this to automatically increase fuelling and/or retard ignition timing as Intake Air Temperature increases. The extra fuel or timing retard may reduce the risk of heat induced detonation"
So we've been having some really hot days here lately in the 100+ areas. Wondering how I can set this up to retard timing / increase fuel when it's hot out to prevent knock.
The value says 0-100 and is defaulted at 100.
So how do I know what to change it to?

I have mine set at 95c for coolant and 50c for intake air temp - you need to look at the coolant and air intake temperatures being reported by the UTEC when you were tuning the map you normally run.

I got the answer over at wrxhackers.com
"You need to do some data logging on the hot days to see how high the temperatures get. Use #2 logger.
The 0-100 numbers are degrees Celsius.
Just for reference, my settings: IAT=45, ECT=95, 0.2 fuel, 1 timing. Its been hovering around 38C (100F) all month, and I haven't seen any knock."

For a stock TMIC car with stock cooling system I'll program 96/51/.2/.5 water/air/fuel/timing
For an FMIC stock cooling system car I'll program 96/49/.2/0
For an FMIC colder thermostat car I'll program 92/49/.2/0

I tuned my car on a relatively cool 85F day to 92c coolant and 42c on IAT. My values are pretty consistent with Jorges, although I pulled a full degree of timing and .5 fuel.

IMO .5 fuel is HUGE... but hey, whatever works ;)
.5 is an easy .4-.6 AFR depending on injector.

Hehe, yeah, I'd rather be pig rich than boom ;)
Gas is cheap, engines aren't

So I was watching the dashboard and at idle at a redlight the air temps increase a lot. So once it turns green it's going to correct my fuel until the air temps reach what I have it set at right?
