Hello, I hope your office remodeling went well. Any update on this? Pictures of the finished lip? Where is everybody on this buy? I thought a lot of people had been waiting a long time for this. I know I was.

FYI, I was on the original CF lip groupbuy back in June. Everybody in the groupbuy got their lips in mid July, but I received my lip on Aug 6, and the paint job was horrible, even after supposedly it was repainted because customers complained about the paint quality. I have been dealing with OE Tuning since then trying to resolve this matter. Jerry promised me a new lip 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. OE Tuning hasn't responded to my e-mails or messages I left on their answering machine (since they don't answer their phones). I just thought you might want to know what to expect if you go on a business venture with OE Tuning. You've been warned. :furious: :furious: :furious:

Rally Punx,

Please check your email. We admit since the whole relocating situation, we are not as attentive to the phone calls as much as we like to. However, we are in the process of getting this resolved and have paid all the extra fees incurred in shipping ( at no additional charge to you ) any other company would have easily charged you for these expenses as there were really no damaged to your product, but since we take care of our customers we will make sure you will be satisfied with O.E. Tuning's product and services.

Your situation was difficult since there were no damages to your product, only minor paint imperfections that you were not pleased about. These imperfections were on the far underside and inner fenders where it can't be seen when the lip is installed, but since you have stated that this is not acceptable to you we will replace it at no additional cost.

However since we are right in the middle of helping you get this resolved is it fair that you leave give us a bad name here on NASIOC after all the extra expenses we incurred for rushing you another lip and not charging you one extra cent ?

I finally got an e-mail from OE Tuning. As you can see from the post above, it seems that I'm finally going to get my CF lip. They had great customer service at the beginning, but then it all went downhill towards the end. Maybe it had to do with the relocation, but an e-mail update would've been nice. It seems like we are back on track now and my CF lip should be arriving shortly.

Will you do a Sedan group buy with this again? Or you can just mix it in with the wagon GB.

Well, they emailed me Monday to say the lip arrived with a poor paint job... go figure. Am I ever gonna get this thing or what? I am gettin a touch scared now th at it won't turn out so good. I mean, heck, I was 2d on this GB to pay in full and still no lip (or at least a nicely painted one). Ah well, guess I gotta keep waiting.

Now I get an email saying that the lips have just been completed... I got that funny feeling- you know the one:

"We're sorry, but you just got f****d :D). Man I hope not, that's a lot of money out there for me right now.

I am in. I only payed my deposit and have tried contacting O.E. Tuning about paying the rest but now I am skeptical.

If this group buy isn't going to happen I, obviously, would like a refund.

Thanks,

I just bought a hood from them of GB in here as well.. they are slower than Xmas but wont cheat you out if you've already paid up. The first lip groupbuy they had went well.. and they got lotsa of posts.. I guess they have gotten really busy or something lately cuz they stopped responding on the hood GB just like this one. They apparently moved buildings and its taking up all their time.. who knows though.

Saw your Cusco hood :D Sweet!!!... Can't wait to see what the lip looks like on you wagon, my wagon is WRB also. I was hoping someone would make an STI V2 type lip for us. If it looks good on yours I think I'll get it too :)

Well, the lip arrived a day early and ruined what was a really good day in a bad week... The box was just dropped off (typical UPS losers) and damaged, of course . I was not the least bit excited after I heard all the negative things about the other wagon lip owners and OE Tuning didn't disappoint- here are the first few issues (couldn't stomach looking at my wasted $450 anymore):

- Poor quality; nicks, dents and weaves all over; running paint on corners (waited 3 weeks for a "better paint job")
- NOT CARBON FIBER AS ADVERTISED!!!!! The lip is fiberglass with a small amount of carbon fiber overlay in the center!!!
- Lip had a major crack on the passenger side that appeared to be made to look fixed (no chance)
- best of all, the lip comes nowhere close to fitting.

I will definitely request a refund in full and if not, pursue legal means to do so. I got the shaft, end of discussion.

Thanx for the warning. I'm sure glad I've waited. I was so close into buying in to this group buy, so I guess I'll be looking into factory Wagon underspoiler (JDM or EDM) or something close to it. Sorry to hear about the damaged lip.

Sorry to hear that as well Kopf_Jager. Good thing I cancelled on the group buy before it ended. Did you get your refund yet? It took them a month to credit back my money less fees/charges.

I'm quite frustrated with very few body kits for wagon but good enough somebody here traded me today his similar c-west v2 front bumper with matching sides and rear. I'll take a couple of snapshots tomorrow and post this.

Well, here's what I sent today:

Jerry-
OK, I have been as patient as I possibly can and I am now getting the proper authorities involved. You refuse to return my calls, now you have had your number disconnected and you will not reply to my emails in regards to a refund. I urge you to do the proper thing and refund my $450 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! This is no threat- I will seek legal action.

This guy is a scam and I am the end result of it.

My latest email thru the www.oetuning.com website:

Jerry-
I am attempting once again to receive my refund on the lip you sent. It has been sitting in my garage now for nearly a month due to multiple problems as I earlier communicated- most of which is that it will not fit as you said. You emailed and said you fitted it on a black 03 wagon and I can't see how- mine WILL NOT FIT!!! I am again requesting a full refund. If I do not, please be advised that legal action will be taken.

Sincerely,

I am not far from this guy. Would anyone like me to stop by his shop to mill around?
I too have been waiting for this lip for my wifes wagon but have held off due to the many people with cracks forming on the install as well as the fact that it is actually made out of fiberglass and not full carbon fiber.

They just asked me to delete this post reason "the product price is no longer valid"

I am keeping this thread open as communication until we get some things resolved.

Please rest assured OE, since this happened, is 100% not welcome on NASIOC. I'm just sorry this had to go down like this.

My reply to their email request:

I am not deleting that post because there are still people who were involved in the group buy who are still wiating for answers from you.

As soon as all of the problems are taken care of I will then remove the post.

And of course because of this, and your companies sudden dissapearance you are no longer welcome to sell on NASIOC. And if I don't see these issues being resolved I will do my best to make sure any other subaru site owners are well informed of what happened on my site. I just don't want to see you do this to anymore customers, especially without explination.

O.E. Still owes me $200.00 but I've all but given up pursuing it--I don't have time. I am interesting in hearing the result of Kopf_Jager's legal action though.

This and the STI Headlight Leveller Switch group buy makes twice I've been ripped off on NASIOC. It's a shame because these group buys are great the majority of the time they go through.

My latest email:

Dear Jerry,

Well, after fighting this thing since June and getting my credit union invloved, it seems as though you managed to screw me over for your own personal benfit. I did EVERYTHING possible to return the lip, request a refund and you simply ignored me - hopng that I would go away. Well, I won't. I am filing charges in El Monte today for fraud. I had a body shop inspect the lip and it is indeed, not carbon fiber as you stated- which I already knew, but now it has been qualified by an expert. I hope that it was worth the $450 - because it is now my life's goal to see your life turned upside down as mine has been over this small item. The bank has now reclaimed your $450 from my account and left me penniless- are you happy? I hope it spends well. I can assure you I will not rest until you are broken from scamming innocent patrons such as myself. And just so you know, these are not idle threats- I will pursue you with eveyr legal means necessary- no matter what the cost to me. It's time you got shown about how it feels to be treated this way.

Sincerely,

Damon D. Edwards

This is the lame ass reply I got:

Hello Damon,

I do apologize for your misunderstanding in this issue. You have stated that item was returned to us but we have not received any notifications. We have sold more then 30 of this similar type product and it is made of our PFRP and 6k Carbon Fiber material. Because carbon fiber is a very high tech material most body shops would fail to realize such a material. It was clearly stated before shipping that this was a product that required professional installation.

Attached are images of the same exact lip installed on our prototype wagon.

We thank you for your kind understanding and wish you happy holidays.

Jerry
