I was checking out the web site and it mentioned that the chip must be installed by an authorized installer. Has anyone heard about the chip coming stateside? Are there any 'authorized installers' here? Cheers.

i ran a powerchip in my 1992 Liberty RS Turbo when i lived in Australia.. iam considering one for my MY02 WRX aswell.. i'd be interested in finding someone who can fit and tune it for me..

btw.. the chips are cool.. took my Liberty from 147 Kw to 185 Kw (195 Hp to 250 Hp) with a K&N Pod and cat back exhaust too..

Cool. That sounds like a worthy upgrade. Now, to find an installer...

I too have fallen at the hands of the dark side (or is it the rally blue side?). I won't be modifying mine for a long while. I enjoyed it stock so much during the test drive that I'll have to live vicariously through you. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif Someday, assuming I don't get something better later on, I will play with it to it's fullness http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

iirc powerchip is the same hardware as the xced/vishnu

there is no reason to use a piggy back when you can get full access to the factory programming for $80
