False alarm, plans have changed. I think he put that in when we were looking hard at buying another car. Now the plan is to put a STi RA drivetrain in the Rocket Rally car. 300hp and a dogbox should be enough. Watch out, Prodrive! Pat just wants some more power to play with on a few of the West coast events. He figured he'd take a shot at an overall win since there's not the pressure of a championship to worry about in the U.S. this year.

I've been to Pat's sponsor Subaru Dealer today, the service manager told me that, Subaru sponsors Pat the WRX is only good in Canada, so he still need to keep the old rally car for the US events. Oh, I believe that's true about the STi RA engine and the dogbox!!

did Prodrive/VT Car have any say in Pat NOT getting to campaign the WRX in the States...huh...

We're tools of "The Man" this year!http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif Actually, the entire Subaru Canada Rally Team will be doing Maine Forest and probably Ojibwe this year to qualify for the North American Rally Cup (which Pat finished 2nd overall and 1st PGT in laast year.)

We'll be using a Holinger dog gearset (Group N legal) eventually but probably not at first.

Geez I go away for a month and look what happens !
