As for the question... well, the Rimmer kit has a reputation for either A)blowing up engines or B)taking your money and delivering no kit. Now, this is just what I have gathered from reading the posts on the board, and is not my personal opinion or to be considered fact, but the reputation is not good. I *believe* there is an Eaton sidemount kit available or in the works. Not many people go the supercharger route, and with the search function down, it's going to be hard to easily find good information. I hope someone can fill you in a bit more than I, otherwise once Nick has the search function beaten in submission, delve into the technical and turbo powertrain archives for some good info.

There ARE people that have successfully SC'd their Subie. Try and find an old Rimmer kit thats been reworked with proper bracketry and MAKE SURE you understand, or know someone that understands the principles behing adding an SC to your engine. The new Search engine sucks & i couldn't find the good posts from the past...

[*sick of people trashing SC's:rolleyes:*]
(not you North, but some others that b!tch & whine cause they can't do the mod in an hour on their driveway) YES, the flame suit is on...:D

BTW, I'd like to hear from those mysterious victims of homocidal superchargers that everyone seems quick to post about whenever anyone utters the 'S-word'...

you boost any regular compression engine and it wont last long.

theres always a few thousand people out there with boosted regular compression engines that havent blown YET to tell you otherwise though...
