Paranaque, Metro Manila. I used to drive full throttle in South Super highway, way back in 85-87 in a Mitsubishi Lancer and an Isuzu Gemini. I was lucky enough to drive an actual Lancer two years ago when I visited Manila. Too bad the traffic jam is so bad that it takes 5 hours just to leave the city. I never got a chance to get to know its acceleration. BTW, it was the front wheel drive version. Looked exactly the same except for a milder styled front bumper.

Lancers are all over the place there right now with different trims...i actually own one. I've also seen a couple of Rally prepped EVO's in my area...not sure which version though! I was gonna go back there this summer but switched my plans for next year!

I got to drive a WRX in Manila traffic back in 98. I met one of the guys who runs the Scooby import business for the Philippines. Really nice guy. That thing is just great for 4 wheel drifts onto the Superhighway. =P His wife's car was a WRX wagon...must be nice...

I'd spout something in Tagalog but it'll probably come out like "i just ate my cat and boy was it good..."

My wife is Filipino, she drives the new RS sedan. I'm Kansan (sounds Filipino?) and drive an Outback. We will vacation in Angeles City and Bagio this summer for my parents-in-law's 50th anniversary.
