Hello to all going to Ft. Myers. I am Katie and am going to be going to Ft. Myers on the 7th. So is my boyfriend, Neal (he who reads but doesn't post). We share a silver 99 RS and both drive it in autocrosses, though it looks like Neal might drive our 88 VW 16V Scirocco in May. We were both out at MacDill this past weekend driving. What a great time. I can't wait till Ft. Myers. Thanks Matt for hooking us up with some nice rooms. Thanks Opie for getting this all started. Where is everyone? I hope a lot of Subaru owners come to show off their cars. I love this car.

Ahh man, I'm sorry to tell you this but I don't have a Subaru as of yet. Still waiting to see what happens with the factory turbo. If not, I have my own special little Subaru project in mind. Do you guys wish for maybe a spectator? And maybe you guys or girls can me some advice on Subaru's, closest one to me is William-Lehman, about 50 miles from me. So I don't get much of a chance to look at them.

I could meet at I-75 and the Sawgrass Expy. I live in Deerfield Beach and I usually take I-75 to Fort Myers, its a pretty quick trip. Usually there's no speed traps going across the state so speeds are between 80 and 100mph. Normally it doesn't take much more than 2hrs to get there.

Yo matt when are you going down? I would love to caravan up there with you. Only prob is that darn Honda friend of mine is working late as usual. I will try to organize something but are you leaving early friday? And staying in the hotel too?

wrxwannabe - The auto-x in St. Pete is being put on by the Sunriders Miata Club (http://www.sunriders.com). It's held at a police driving course at St. Pete JC. It's usually $25 that includes lunch and is a really good (& fun) practice auto-x.

Leonardo - I have heard of Dynamic Turbo in Miami from some Supra guys I know, they are pretty highly recomended, but I've never dealt with them personally.

Sorry... life has been just a shade under chaotic lately... I just finally graduated college last weekend, been working with the existing servers... trying to work with alex on getting the new one squared away... among other things...

anyway... I am not sure what I will be able to do about making the autox... I really want to go... but I don't really think I can spend a night... nor do I have a room...

What is the event schedule?... I might just head up and back in one day. I can't really be gone for the entire weekend... to many obligations...

Course this is all pending them actually finishing the install on my ACT clutch.

Here's the deal for this weekend:
Matt (brille@gate.net) got us rooms at the Residence Inn (Marriott) on Colonial in Ft. Myers, I think they are $59 a night. Most of the guys from S. Florida are meeting tonight and caravaning over, us Tampa guys are meeting tomorrow and cruising down. The actual auto-x competition is on Sunday (this is where the "meet" will take place) at Buckingham Airfield. You can find maps, directions & auto-x info at: http://www.gulfcoastautocrossers.com. Saturday night all us hotel junkies are going out to eat together, and auto-x practice is all day Saturday at the airstrip for those arriving tonight.

My check engine light code was cleared, I dropped my car off and picked it back up (from past NickCat's side actually) and 40 miles later WHAM the light comes back on. I do not want to damage my sensor by driving too much on it now, so I will be tuning my car over the weekend to lean out (I can smell how rich my car is running at the moment).
