ImprezaRS2000 04-02-2000, 09:15 PM Man, I want to move to Japan now!!! Wheel shops that big would be awesome!
Scooby South 04-02-2000, 09:36 PM OK the 1st pic is again in the SUPER STORE..
notice the offset and everything...
The same with the 2nd one..
The 3rd one is actually the STi Shop's Manager's car...It is all wheel drive and has 225HP...the wheels are 11 in and the tires were like 195/50/11..NOTICE THE ROLLCAGE..hehehehehehehehe
the 4th is in the STi shop garage again....somebody had torn a rear end out of a ver III..it was torn apart to get replaced...
overall some bad ASS cars there for sure..
I'm hoping those prices are for a set of 4! Maybe not too bad since the 218,000Y includes sales taxes n stuff. Still bad infation over there, but nice to have! Gimme!

8Complex 04-03-2000, 12:13 AM The Universal Currency Converter (http://www.xe.net/ucc/) says - 218,000.00 JPY = 2,121.65 USD
What I find funny about this is how all the tags are in English except for the bottom left corner of a few of them!
A 225HP PLEO?!?! HOLY #$%&!!! Everyone would think you were a riceboy in that thing until they got smoked.
Scooby South 04-03-2000, 04:25 PM Isn't that wild???? Just Nuts...They had a 700HP Blizzen in the back...Twin Turbod...Damn..I wanted a shot of that thing..

uhh, those are tire size/ratios you're referring to, not wheel sizes. http://208.9.184.110/NonCGI/tongue.gif

Scooby South 08-14-2000, 12:33 AM And some more for you... http://www.impreza-rs.com/ubb-files/smile.gif
spshultz 08-14-2000, 07:31 AM I've had the privilege of living on Okinawa for 2 years and been to Tokyo twice and the cars there really do rock. I have seen Skyline's on Okinawa that were so fast it was scary. Some had (waste gates?) that were so loud it sounded like a shotgun going off. Been to their version of "auto parts stores" and the amount of rims, tires, add on goodies, and stereo systems was huge.
But the funny thing is, is that on Okinawa the average speed was 50Kph and top speed on the main hwy was 80Kph. I had a Toyata Vista, Toyota Corona GTR (loved that little car), and Mazda RX7 turbo(that was one fast car). Toyota Corona was mushed in an accident involving a little old Okinawa woman that was goin 60kph in a 40Kph zone, nicked the side of a dumptruck, dumptruck pushed her into me, I in-turn was pushed into the rearend of another car and then ended up on the other side of the hwy with oncoming traffic.
Anyway (way off the subject there), if you own a Japenese car then Japan is the place to go to do your shopping. It's great. But at the time, prices were really high.
