Well, the misfire cel's ive been getting have been diagnosed as a factory defect and my ECU is scheduled for a "reprograming". I have a 2002 WRX sedan. Just thought I'd throw that out there. It seems to be a common problem.

The last time I took it in they thought I had MAJOR problems because it registered that I got misfires in 3 out of 4 cylenders.

It's funny you should post that today, as I just had that problem for the first time after over a year of flawless reliabity. My Subaru dealer said a reflash will be offered, but I think I may let Cobb do it for me. ;)

They told me that about two years ago, seems some dealers blame CEL's on faulty ECU's. Ironically, they hadn't even pulled the code, but they knew it was the ECU. :rolleyes: I haven't been back to that dealership...
