I will be selling my WRX soon and purchasing a STi (hopefully) and was curious about the cam options for the car.

Are there any cam options out there for the new STi from Jun, HKS, etc? After seeing Nathan @ TurboXS's dyno plot from his 2.5 block with 272 cams and the T3/T4 turbo I am in love. :)

I've seen picture of the JUN cams for the AVCS system from Jan Shim, but my understanding is that these are still in development. As far as I know HKS doesn’t have any EJ series cams.

From what Ive read around here, a quick seach will pull up the info, the sti cams are the same deration as the wrx cams, the sti also have higher lift and the avcs gear. So a jdm sti cam may work with the longer deration but they dont have the high lift of the usdm cams. I dont know about spec c cams or s202
As for jun cams they will not fit the ver7 head, at least thats what jun says. There are no hks cams.

Just updating this thread. I'm not interested in the stock measurments of USDM STi cams but rather Jun 264 or 272's.

Curious if anyone has found any aftermarket cams that work with the current USDM heads and AVCS. Is there a way to install the cams and not have AVCS? I'm not too worried about losing the AVCS if it means I can have 272 cams.
