I am in the process of swapping a GL turbo motor (EA82T) into an 89 GL Wagon (EA82, no T). I have all of the wiring figured out, but the vacuum lines are a mess. Can anyone help me out with some engine bay pictures? I need to know where the vacuum lines go, and what Tee's into what. I have both the Factory service manual and a Chiltons, but the vacuum diagrams are a joke.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I came across the same situation during my ej22t swap. Go to your dealer and have them print out the part diagrams for the systems you are trying to make work. Thats what i did. The parts diagrams are more clear than any other diagram Ive seen and they should help you out.

Your local library will have Mitchell Maunals with all the vacuum diagrams in them. Check it out.

Don't go to the dealer for that info, they'll have you hand copy it...:(
They made me do that a couple of years ago on a Legacy wiring diagram. No help at all...

You should stop by Oasis Auto in Boise (on State St.) and talk to Ken, he knows those cars well.;)

I have some pice from under the hood of my 89 RX.

Do you have the pressure switch, mounts on the strut tower?

I have the pressure switch and the control solonoid. I just teed the pressure switch into the vacuum line.

I connected the bottom of the control solonoid to the wastegate and the back of the solonoid to the hose nipple on the turbo outlet. I have one hose from the front of the solonoid that I dont know where goes. Is it just another vacuum line?

Also, I only have 1 vacuum source on my motor. The line that comes out of the passanger side rear intake runner. Should there be others?
