I've been reading alot of posts about "....exhaust x showed a gain of x HP/TQ on the dyno", and "....exhaust x sounds great, here's a sound clip of the noise level".

Wouldn't it be great if we could consolidate all of the existing and future data into a chart of some kind that shows the relationship of HP/TQ gains vs. noise levels?

Just something I always wish I had after reading all of the individual posts on cat-backs and T-B's.

Thoughts?

Hey Vance,

Thanks for the heads-up about that article. It looks like a great read, but there's that imagestation registration to deal with.

Do you have a version you could post or send a link to that doesn't require IS reg.?

Regards,

-Kip

What a great article! I will use this for reference when deciding which turboback combination to get...

The only question is, does everyone agree with the results and comments since some magazines are not 100% objective. I.E. - Their biggest moneymaker is Greddy (w/ all the ads placed in their magazine)

Oh and what's up with the torque being +699.4 lb-ft on the turboback comparisons?

Anyway, the Greddy system looks good to me. I want the best power I can get without having my exhaust be heard from a mile away. I want the low rumble at idle, quiet when cruising and aggressive as helI at WOT. Does anyone have experience with a greddy catback on an 04 STi or REX. Do you like it?

Here is a start. (http://www.mattrandolph.com/wrx/cat-back-comparisons.htm) Just cat-backs though.

someone's got a grip on Excel.

Sweet chart Matt....

Now if we could expand on this to include the latest Turbo Back systems being offered for the Sti, such as Visnu, Turbo XS, etc.

That would be great.

That link contains information lifted right off the issue in Turbo Magazine which I posted....

However, nice work with the charts though...
