Yeah, I was thinking that this could be a pretty ingenious way of harvesting emails. But I signed up anyway. If I get more spam, I'll just delete it. :)

Its actually a really good way of comprising a database of potential customers/users. ObV the company is devising a marketing plan and needs to do some research beforehand, therefore the "giveaway". One lucky person gets a laptop, company gets thousands of prospect profiles.

And I doubt you guys will get anymore spam, maybe advertising from the prize company, but not spam. At least I would hope not. Especially since it's wrong ethically (and soon to be illegal under PIPEDA probably), and the fact that its a local company and you guys can go set their office on fire. :lol:
