I just got a 2004 WRX on labor day weekend, and I notice that when I turn my wheel to the right for a little bit it will click. It sounds like the noise when you have your turn signal on and you turn the wheel, but the problem is that my turn signal isn't on.

Is this "normal", or something I need to get checked out?

is it at the point where the wheel would disengage the turn signal automatically?

That sounds about right, but I wouldn't think that it would make the sound if the turn signal wasn't on to begin with.

I'm probably very wrong though, I'm a newbie.

I know what it is. I noticed it when I first got my car. IT a really bad problem. You might have to have the dealer look at it.

It's........ your keys knocking against your steering column. Trust me that is what it is. that is why you only hear it when you turn right.... gavity forces the keys against the column. Most cars have a small foam pad on the column under the ignition...not ours. It drove a lot of us nuts fro a while.
