Like the title says, I need to know which guages I need to have for when I do engine managment to my RS. I'm going to be getting a 3 gauge pod and tuneable stand alone or piggy back system later on. I don't plan on going turbo so it'll only be for N/A applications.

I'm currently NA, but planning to go turbo. I'm running with a boost gauge, autometer AFR gauge and Greddy EGT gauge on the center gauge console. To be installed are fuel pressure and oil pressure gauges.

For NA, maybe you should go for at least an EGT and AFR gauge. Probably a vacuum gauge (instead of boost gauge?). So you can see how much air's goin in the engine? Even though my gauge hasn't reached positive pressure yet :p It's helped me with my tuning. Lets me observe the car without having to look at the laptop.

The only thing you'll need is a good AFR gauge (a wide band would be ideal) and an EGT gauge. To fill the third slot, I'd say oil pressure, but it's not really necessary. There isn't much you need to have when tuning NA.

What he said... except the oil pressure gauge maybe excessive until you get to Dcoty's level. Maybe an Autometer clock?

Autometer clock?

Damn I'm such a noob.

Heh... he means a clock. Like that thing that tells time. Kinda useless when we've got one in our dash cluster, though.

Oil pressure is always good to know, but a dummy light would work just as well as long as you can make it sensitive enough.

How about a nitrous pressure or temperature gauge? :)
