I have an EJ205 (02 U.S. WRX) engine in my 94 Impreza L. Take it easy, Micah Want to get UTEC RedBrighton96 09-30-2003, 05:42 PM I have a Link ecu "Group N spec" AVCS control and antilag mmmm........... It's currently in my friend's WRX, we're "testing" it while we build the engine for my car. Still can't get that damn antilag to work yet. :D  :D Rob RS22b 09-30-2003, 11:39 PM Originally posted by RedBrighton96 I have a Link ecu "Group N spec" AVCS control and antilag mmmm........... I have a EJ205 aswell and i am still trying to figure out what i am going to be doing for myself. Either TEC2 or TEC3. That is a definite, i am leaning more towards the TEC3. Billyqua rally driven............... RedBrighton96 10-01-2003, 12:29 AM It might be a bit before it's together and running. Money is getting close to being gone for parts. There was a guy in New Zealand i belive that had is Link ecu updated to Group N specs, has a vid or two posted and a sound clip of the car running and idling with the antilag enabled. Here is the link to the post. (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=377537) Rob HJ (Indy) 10-08-2003, 07:53 PM Does anyone know where or how to get in touch with Andrew that was with Minnam for a while & then had AMR that sold Link ECUs. He made adapter harness to plug the Link Plus direct into the RS harness. That way it didnt need to be wired in. Andrew are you still out there? RedBrightion does link now sell a ecu that will control the AVCS? RedBrighton96 10-09-2003, 01:59 AM Well the one I have has AVCS control. It's an STi link that I bought from a guy who was using it in his rally car. So I would say yes, it is avaliable. I would try contacting Link USA (http://www.link-electro-usa.com/home.html) and ask them about avaliablilty and where you might be able to get one. Rob HJ (Indy) 10-09-2003, 08:13 AM I contacted them & there is not a Link yet to control the AVCS. They have promised it for over two years now. Does the one you have control both sides of the cam timing (intake & exhaust)? Hank Crawford/I-Speed 10-09-2003, 02:16 PM For the tame we use ECUtek. For the wicked we use Motec. Chris I-Speed USA cescamilla@i-speedusa.com stimpy 10-09-2003, 03:05 PM Stock MY03 ECU which will be updated to Cobb Stage 2 Reflash in January. -Jon Jaxx 10-10-2003, 01:05 PM i have a tec 2 .. but at the moment the car won't start :( in hind site i wish i had used a udsm clip+ecu.. the whole emmissions thing... RedBrighton96 10-10-2003, 05:36 PM To be honest, I don't know what all it controls. I was told that it'll control AVCS, but I don't have new age STi heads or the turbo engine in the car yet. So to answer your question, I don't really know. Mine didn't come from Link USA, but from Possume Bourne in Australia when they were still dealing with the Link so that may be the difference in avaliability. Its wire in, but has more features than the PossumLink engine management system, at the expensive of a slightly more complex installation procedure. |
