i noticed there is an intermediate spot between the high beam switch being off and on where the high beams AND low beams are on.

anyone know how to make it so where when you turn on the high beams the low beams stay on?

Are you sure you're not confusing the low beam light with the fogs? The fog lights will switch off when you flip the lever to turn on the high beams. There is an "intermediate" spot where you can hold the lever and have both on at the same time. I don't think it's possible the bulb to illuminate both "high" & "low" by playing with the switch.

- Kean i underlined part of your post because im confused. i'm not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me. and there is no confusion w/ the fogs because my fogs are wired to stay on w/ the high beams, yes there is a spot in the switch between high and low where both are on.

hmmmmm. I didn't know the bulbs could do that. I'll have to check it out tonight.

btw, I was just referring to the fact that the fogs and high beams can also stay on by playing with the switch as you described. I thought you may have been interpreting the light from the fogs as coming from the "low" beam. ......obviously that's not the case.

- Kean i thought it was weird also but it works either way (high beam on or flash-to-pass) there is an intermediate area of a few mm that allows both high and low beam to be on.

While it may be possible to do this with some added wiring it's not a good idea with the stock lights. Dual-filament bulbs such as the 9007 are not designed for both filaments to be on at the same time and if you run them this way for any length of time the added heat and current will likely burn them out in short order. Further you will be drawing too much current through the wiring harness on both the power and ground side and there is a risk of damaging (melting) the wiring and/or connectors.
