Hi all. I am trying to locate the following to make a "winter package" for my 04' Rex wagon.
-Factory Seat Heater Switch
-Factory Heated Mirror Switch
-Factory Sedan Heated Mirror Glass and Elements
-Rostra or other Seat Heater elements
-Dimming CIPA Compass/Temp Mirror and factory trim piece.
I am basically going to have a local stereo shop do the install for me...no tools and no time, but I haven't found a local (L.A.) source for buying the parts except for the CIPA mirror. The local dealer didn't seem to think the parts were available. Has anyone done this? I read the install on the heated mirror element from scoobymods, but I think a more plug and play solution would be cheaper to have installed (although it was very creative!)

this thread isn't what I expected it to be (and not long either).
Try contacting Subaru of Lachute. You can find them as a vendor here on nasioc. They are a canadian dealer and would likely have more of the heated parts you're looking for.

Heated mirror switch? All Imprezas have heated mirrors in Canada, and for my '04 OBS the manual says that the heated mirrors operate with the rear defroster, which I assume you have. There's no separate control for the heated mirrors.

yeah iirc the us wrx's already have the wiring in the mirror. guess you would just need to find the canadian glass to pop in.
do you have leather seats? I don't think i've ever seen heated seats on cloth???

All 2004 WRX's up in Canada have heated seats. Standard. And they are the same fabric. My wife loves it. She's been using it every day...mind you it's been close to 0 (Celsisu) every day for a week now.

No, I don't have leather seats. But cloth gets cold too when it is under 20 degrees outside. I had heated cloth seats in a honda passport, it made a huge difference. I talked to a parts department guy yesterday and he didn't even know heated seats and mirrors were available on the 2004 sedans! I guess they aren't a priority in california.

I suggest you talk to the folks at ATD1 (http://www.atd1.com) for the seat heaters. I believe they sell the Carbotech brand of seat heaters (very good product). You can get a package to do both front seats for ~$180-200 total. The factory pieces will cost you far more than that. One thing I'd suggest is that you use the small round hi/lo heater switches instead of the optional rectangular switches (though neither are factory pieces). The rectangular switches are of poor quality and will fail. The round switches are much nicer and can easily be fitted in the side of the center console. You could try to adapt the factory switches (~$40/each) but that will probably be more work than it's worth.
I don't believe wiring for heated mirrors is in the door in '02/'03 vehicles but it may be in '04's. You can see a write-up for adding aftermarket heated mirrors at Scoobymods (http://www.scoobymods.com).
The mirror is available from Subaru and from private sellers occasionally. You'll get everything you need to connect it to a wiring harness located above the maplight.
