Hello i am new to this board, was just wanting to say hi, and let you guys and gals know what i ahve been up to. I have several Subarus, one being my favorite which is a unfinneshed, but drivable, 1978 Subaru Brat with a 87 EA82T motor, tranny, and rear end in the car. it is fast and a blast to drive.

here are some pics of the car

If you have any questions just email me at shoquest2002@yahoo.com

I know your site is more impreza orianted, but being a Subaru owner, i fugured why not show what i have.... Enjoy, and i hope to learn some more about subarus from you guys and gals....

Excellent find!

Welcome to the board. The old school portions of the site seem to be a bit more "user friendly" than the more popular forums. Cheers.

thanks it took my freind and i over a year to build the car, and the fruits of this wild car are worth it, we like driving it and spanking all the mustangs. it is alot of fun  especially when they find out that it doesnt have a v8 in there that is spanking them.

some new interior and the body work, then some nice paint, and have the wheeels painted, make the car look completely stock, except fo the hoosier street pros at all four corners. thinking about a black interior and deep forest green outside. dont know what else.

Very cool! Was that motor originally longitudally mounted, or was it transverse? I would love to get one and put a EJ25 into it for some good torque, and take it out off-roading. :)

there was a video on legacycentral.org, it was off a brat that had a motortransplant. ya might search on there and see ifyou can find it. i think it was racing a 911.

In Australia, the Subaru Brat was marketed as the Brumby.
