hey folks! i managed to get my detector hardwired and i made a nifty little tech for you.

this procedure takes you into removing the a-pillar cover and knee bolster to get to the main fuse panel behind the change tray.

comments - suggestions - corrections welcomed.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but you do realize that there are both continuous and switched sources of power above the maplight switches...Just pop out the maplight lense and remove the two phillips screws.

I'll admit, I didn't know either until I hardwired my garage door openers into the headliner. When I did that project I found the unsused connector which I assume is for the powered mirror/compass.

Even though I'd already wired my V1 in a very similar way to the way you did, I went ahead and rewired it...I was bored anyway.
