Guys,

There is a 1993 Subaru Legacy Turbo for sale by my house. It has 143k miles on it and the interior and exterior are VERY clean. The guy is asking $2,200 or bo for the car. The only prob is that the car has an auto transmission (w/ manual diff lock). I can't stand driving automatics! But is this car worth the money even though it has the auto? Is it a car that is fun to drive anyway? The guy said the car is awesome in the snow and fast. Are these cars at the end of their life at 143k? or are the auto transmissions weak?Let me know your opinions. Thanks

Definitely get it. For that price, in that condition, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better one. Swapping in a 5mt shouldn't be too costly if, and/or when, you decide you're not happy with the 4eat.

Or you can go my final route and put a 5EAT in there with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.:D
