A honda loving friend of mine had a ride in my Version 3/4 STi seats and loved them. Wants some for his Civic but of course doesn't want them to be saying STi :) He asked me if I knew what company makes these seats (Sparco? Recaro?) and what model they are so he can pick some up!

Any of you smart folks know?

I believe they are Recaro's, but I am not 100% sure.

tell your friend to buy some civic type R seats. is his civic and eg or an ek? i beleive the type R seats are recaro but they are pretty expensive.

They are not Recaros. They ARE similar to the old Recaro Sport, but they differ in the details.

JDM/UKDM seats from a GC8 WRX are the same shape, but sans STi lettering and Alcantara fabric. Vendors here sell both STi and WRX seats.

So, they are actually custom seats, not rebadged seats?

They weren't the same as MY old seats, thats for sure. I don't know if ordinary imprezas of that era got the same seats in Japan or not.
