I am in the midst of hunting down a 2002 Impreza WRX sedan.

Seems like most sellers (both private and dealer) are asking between $28-$32K.

I have found a silver sedan w/ 36000Kms, they were asking $29995 and I haggled them down to $27500 -- does that still seem high???

check www.autotrader.ca for a good selection of asking prices for used WRX's. An 02 WRX on average in my area (toronto) would probably average around 27-29k CAD, depending on milage and other factors.

36000km's is pretty low for an 02, so 27k CAD doesn't seem too bad(probably on the good deal end)... just make sure you inspect the car thoroughly... As we all know, the 02's are pretty finicky when it comes to the tranny.

I remember i saw an ad for an 02 WRX wagon with i think around 30-40k km's selling for just under 27k CAD and it got sold within a day of the posting.

When I bought my 02 RS they had a nice 02 WRX WRB with about the same KMs and they were asking for 29k$ if I remember correctly. So I guess you've found a correct deal. I would have love buying this WRX but has it was my first car and I was just out of the University, the 02 RS was enought payments for me. ;-) But I've never regret it!
