Ok I got a 1985 GL-10 multiport fuel injected her blinkers stopped working come on but do not blink can be blinked manually and the blinker as you may or may not know is not just a blinker plugged into the fuse panel nope my buddy who fixes em in another town told me there is a blinker soldered in side the steering column can some one verify this for me before I pull the whole column apart only to discover it's behind the fuse panel... thnxs...

Do you have enough blinker fluid?? If its even a bit low your blinkers will not work.....

There will be a flasher module someplace that should be replaceable. It will look something like a relay but it's actually a bimetal switch that works thermostatically, when they get really old they tend to go bad. Sorry I can't help you with the location, you might try posting in the "Old School Subaru" forum to get more info.

Do all the bulbs work? Most turn signal systems don't work right when a bulb burns out or is making bad contact.

Some blink fast (newer cars) some don't blink.

Ya, on some older cars they would put two bulbs in, one for a steady light and the other to blink when you put the signal on. I'm not sure if the GL is like that, but it's worth checking.
