Was wondering if anyone knew if there are ANY problems (long or short term) if i splice my signal lights to my corner lights? This would remove the use for a signal lens, so my corners flash when i signal. any help would be appreciated.
thanks!

i have had mine done for a lil over a month now and hav no short term problems at all. i like it alot especially since i did the "koji' headlight mod at the same time.

i used the instructions at scoobymods

hope that helps

You may be able to make your parking lights blink, but they are still parking lights and nowhere near as bright as signal lights. The linked mod is done on the 02-03's to supplement the signals but not to replace them.
If you remove your signal lights completely and use only the parking lights to signal turns it would compromise safety since the dimmer bulbs would not be as visible in bright daylight or at night in less than clear conditions. Also removing the signal bulbs from the circuit would cause the flash rate to change.

hmm....its the same for older and newer models right? i thought it would be easier on a 98 impreza.....not so many problems....

what if i can make the turn signal bulb unit fit into the corner light? (dunno how...but see if i can figure it out).
so the corner bulbs will still be in the corners, but also with the signal bulbs in it. so the corners will still flash, but retaining the signal bulbs in the circuit and still be protected.
doubt this will work but....just a simple idea
thanks again for ur help!

I've had mine spliced for almost a year now. just make sure your wiring is true.

As the above post said, the side markers are not that bright during the day, however at night i feel they are bright enough (orange bulbs behind JDM white lenses) for people to see. It makes me feel more secure with my morettes, which you can't see the blink fro mthe side.

just wondering why does it flash differently when the lightsd are on and when the lights are off?
