my brother is letting me use his HID kit that was used on his jdm prelude headlights witch used an H4 bulb. its a philps kit witch I'm trying to use on MY94 with 00 headlightrs

From a recent HID thread:
-*Brightstar connection problem* For some reason, the power cable to the ballast is wired in reverse. To make my conversion kit work, I had to reverse the wires from my stock harness to the ballast ie. red wire to black wire and vice versa. It is best to hook up your kit (both sides) to ensure that they both work before embarking on the install.

This is because apparently Subaru's have their +/- to the lights opposite from most other manufacturers *shrug* Give it a try.

Don't the '00's use 9006's?
