Hey quick question, I have EDMs with Halogen lights if i get HIDS put in will have a problem going back to the stock head light.

What i mean by going back to the stock head light is that I live in NJ and when it snow they put rock salt down(puts nasty chips on headlihgts). So i dont want to get my nice EDMs destroyed so i wanna put the stock headlights back on will there be a problem?

Well first of all I doubt you'll have a problem with your lights even with the salt. They're OEM and are made to handle bad weather conditions.

Next, you could probably get a sheet of clear bra and cut it to size and cover the lights with it though that might take a bit of work will all the bubbles you 'could' get. Maybe leeberbs has something he can do for you.

Also, in Austrailia they sell OEM headlight protectors which is basically a layer of plastic that goes over the lights. It's a very nice piece and a few venders sell them, I think allsubaru.com or something like that has them available.

Now, to the main question, yes, if you get a 'bolt on' HID kit you can easily swap the bulbs no problem. The hard part would be taking out the ballasts, but that's not necessary anyway (the bulbs should easily unclip from the ballasts). Anyway, my ballasts are double sided taped so I'd rather just leave them in if I had to swap out the bulbs.

Hope I helped. :)

The suggestion was good about the clear bra material for the headlights. Let me make a suggestion as well. We are having a sale this month on all Subaru Light protectors in clear or colors.

Lee is the man for installs in NJ.

Check out the vendor section for prices. Here is the
