I am looking for a good (not too expensive, though--I know paradox) roof snowboard rack for my STi. Anyone with any experiences to share? Thanks.

Search for European WRX sedan rack. Mounts on thread holes under the roof rain strips. I like mine. :)

I'm putting a thule rack on my impreza, worked out to be $230 after searching for deals. GI Joes had a 10% off deal going on and had a $20 GC for $100 spent, so my GF and I went down there and made two purchases and spent the GC and saved a bunch :)

I got other parts (feet & load bars) off of ebay. I got the fit kit and rack (Thule 725) from GI Joes.

There were a lot of discussions regarding this rack, including a group buy with Cheam Motors.

If you have any questions or need any help with a Thule setup feel free to get in contact with us. You can also browse what's available on our website at www.naroofracks.com.

I ordered from them and they are 100% legit and professional. I did pick the item up in person but I have no doubt they'd ship you the proper item. Be sure to request VAT be excluded or at least have them send the ofrm so you can get reimbursed.

The rack has also been redesigned, it looks a lot more like a Thule rack now: lower and less awkward.

I have a Yakima roof rack and snowboard "alligator type of clasps" that work very well.
If you have the factory roof rack, then you can just get the universal Mighty Mounts and the ski/board holders to fit.

By the way, the wind deflectors (fairings) work well to "noise cancel".

Hello all. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead. I recently purchased a barely used 2007 WRX TR. Test drove it when I got off of work, went home and ate dinner, ended up going back at 2200 that night and drove it home about an hour later. I'm very impressed with this car and couldn't be happier.

My question is, does my model and trim of Impreza contain the necessary hardware in the rain gutters used to mount the Euro roof rack?

Pry the trim back in the appropriate places to see if there's anything under it. There were pictures in one of the older threads showing the brackets that the rack mounting kit attaches to: eseentially very low hoops, about 2" long.

Yakima for sure quick easy to install and remove sturdy too. There is a great DIY for the Q-Clip mod.

Having sold many brands for years at a ski shop...everyone at the shop uses Thule. Better quality than Yakima and Barrecrafters, though Yaki is getting better. We sell more Yaki because it's a bit cheaper, but Thule fits better and lasts longer. My rack on my Maxima is 10+ years old now and still in great condition
