I got one of the original TXS stage 2 Unichip kits back in February of 02. While it definitely made more power than stock, I was never happy with the hesitations and stumbling that it had under partial throttle acceleration.
When the UTEC came out, I was one of the first to upgrade from the Unichip to the UTEC (thanks, Nathan :D ). It seemed so much smoother than the Unichip, and it was. Nathan hooked me up with a custom dyno tune and much horsepower was gained over the base map.
I think I have a stubborn factory ECU, though. Over time, I have regained much of the hesitation and stumbling that I enjoyed  with the Unichip. When I'm running full-on at the track, everything is great because I'm rarely under part throttle. Day-to-day driving is getting to be a chore, though.
I'm looking to replace my UTEC with a Cobb Access ECU stage 2. I honestly don't need the tuning capabilities of the UTEC any more since I've done all the power mods to my car. It's a great system, I'm just ready for something else.
Has anybody done this? I'm wondering if I should remove the
UTEC ABC or just leave it in. I'm not 100 percent up to speed on the Cobb unit yet so any helpful hints would be great.
Anyone looking for a perfect UTEC or interested in a trade? Seriously.
Scott
