Charged Performance (http://www.chargedperformance.com) is proud to announce our soon to be released intercooler hose with an embedded bung for Aquamist water injection jets. There is no longer any need to tap your expensive intercooler to take advantage of the technology that is being embraced by WRX tuners and engine management companies around the world.

The final product will include two nickel plated bungs approximately 90 degrees apart and two blanking plugs so the hose will not need to be replaced when water injection is not being used. These units have been tested up to 3 bars of pressure.

Aquamist jets are the only purpose specific jets that can be installed and removed externally making servicing, maintenance and tuning changes quick and painless in under a minute.

Existing (before 12/31/03) Charged Performance water injection system owners will be able to obtain these hoses at a nominal cost.

Retail pricing of these hoses with two bungs and two blanking plugs is expected to be approximately $60-$75.

As many DIY water injection setups utilize Aquamist jets for their application specific misting properties, we would expect anyone implementing water injection would be interested in this unique solution.

Dealer, team and quantity order inquiries are encouraged.

looks good... can it be used with the wrxtuner kit?

There is no reason that it could not be used with it. There have been many successful DIY setups that utilize Aquamist jets, hoses, valves etc combined with other components for pumps etc. Based on a few recent jet and high speed valve sales I think it would work well with the kit they are selling.

Happy Holidays.

WRXTUner kits are not aqua mist as far as i know. I wonder if they still would work? When are these availible. I might have to come down and bring the nozzle to see if it fits. ;)

Sorry for any confusion - the nozzle used in the wrxtuner kit will not fit the hose. This would require the use of an aquamist jet. An aquamist jet and this intercooler hose combined could be adapted to the wrxtuner kit is what I was getting at.

How much for that silicon tapped hose and the jet?

The bungs are embedded in the hose itself as part of the manufacturing process.

The IC hose with the bungs is $75 by itself. Jets are normally $15.00 each, but can be purchased for $10.00 each when purchased with the hose. Blanking plugs for the bungs are $5.00 for two.

However there is currently a group buy going on here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=474399 that you inquired about possible fitment of other jets. The group buy would represent a better deal as 2 jets, blanking plugs, joint and hose is included in the $75 price as an introduction of the product.

I would still like to explore with you the possibility of making the bung to work directly with your desired jets. Do you have the thread size for them?
