What are you guys with sti ra version 6 gears running in the 1/4? I'm curious about how much hp you have and what your trap speeds are. Because i have these gears on order. So far i've run a 12.73@110.53 on a 1.91. Since then i've been getting horrible 60 foot times and been running low 13's. I blame it on my tires and lack of track prep.

But i was just curious what times i should expect with these. I dynoed 306whp and 295lbs. Car weighs 3180 with me in it.

I dynoed 320whp/270tq (Turbo XS tuned), and with the RA gears ran a 12.0 @ 115 w/1.76 launch.

My race weight was about 3200lbs.

I ran a best of 13.2 @ 102 with these gears on a TXS Stage 3 setup. I am a bit slower now, like 2-3 mph and about 2 1/0ths difference. It is harder to launch the car and shifting into 4th kinda sucks. I used to be able to cut 1.7s now I can only get 1.8s on a good day.

I found it harder to launch as well... but once you get it down, a better launch is possible, especially when making alot of power.

The USDM 1st gear is the only gear of the 5 more aggressive than the RA set.

When making alot of power, this less aggressive 1st gear IMO helps reduce wheelspin. Now, because I am revving higher this translates to even more of a advantage, because when I do spin, the tach sits at 7k or so then hooks up without ever hitting the rev limiter.

4th gear is a helluva lot better than stock. And cruising in 5th on the highway, I dont ever have to downshift to pass ANYONE. :)

Wow i dynoed 307whp and 293wtq in 87 degree heat. But i've been having 60 foot troubles from wheelspin. So i'm really curious what they will do for me.

Dug...did you rebuild the tranny yourself? Cause if you are local i sure could use the help.
