Hey guys, with the increase in stolen cars, AZP has introduced after much R&D and quality control testing, an independent security system. Our 3 stage system will provide security and protection from all but the professional thieves. We install them custom for each car. Located in the NY/NJ/PA area. In addition, the stage 2s are available for national sales.

Stage 1: Immobilizer
Stage 2: Power Door Lock Switch Disconnect
Stage 3: Enhancements to the stock OEM alarm system

PM/IM/E-mail for details.

Everyone should really consider the power door lock disable for their vehicle. The OEM power door lock switch on WRX/STi remains powered and active continually making entrance to the car unbearably easy. This disabling circuit is passive - when the ignition is off the power door locks do not work - when the ignition is on the power door locks work normally - while maintaining normal keyless operation in all states.

Keep people out of your subies contact Paisan/mike for this invaluable mod. Don't be surprised if you see this feature in future Suby remodels.

We are also offering a swap-core-charge setup on this as well. So you can do this even if you are in CA or other states not local to us.

I've spoken to engineers at SOA to hopefully include this as an OEM std item to protect the cars, hopefully they will include it for future cars, for now you can get it from us :)

Other than that for more information I would contact AZP or Paisan.

-mike not to get off track... but if you have an influence of SOA and care about the impreza market, suggest framing in the windows would be a great feature. I guess it wouldn't sell as many of your gadgets though. What are you selling these for and are they compatible with a Python881xp security system?

His contacts make it much more likely that SOA will actually look at the communication - not that they will redesign the car. Also this modification would require slight circuitry redesign rather than a redesign of the body. I personally would not like a framed window. If the door switch is disabled when the car is off - the lack of a frame won't matter. Note that the keyless system works as always and the door switch works normally when the car is on.

Knowing Mike he would rather see this modification included from the factory and everyone be protected than selling the correction.

It would work with any system that uses the OEM keyless for locking and unlocking the car. If your system takes over locking and unlocking itself, it likely would not work properly. It depends on the method of installation used by your installer on the Python.

What is the benefit of not having framed windows? I'm not trying to argue but just for the sake of knowing. I'll ask the installer of my security.

Not saying there is any benefit to not having framed windows - I just don't like framed windows on sports cars. It was just a personal preference comment.

However, if the door panel switch is not hot when the car is off - the lack of a frame does not make the car anymore vulnerable then when there is a frame.

I think that a framed window provides more structure for the window and doesn't allow a slightly bent welding rod to be slipped through the window and gasket to let the thief to unlock your door with the door lock button. That is my point. I guess I've never looked at my sedan as a sports car. But I like not getting my finger slammed in the door when I have the windows down.

Again I was just wondering. I am still waiting on getting info about compatibility with my existing alarm.

I think the frameless windows are there so they can put the material they'd be using in the door to use in the actual body of the car. lightAr and stiffAr for the frame and lighter for the door.

Definitely recommend disabling the power door locks and it works like a charm. It's definitely user installable with this kit. Thanks Mike!
