Well I was bored last Saturday so I swapped out my stock 02' WRX 5MT for a STI Ver.6 RA 5MT. It has the DCCD, plated front diff, 4:44 final drive and the matching plated LSD rear diff.
Heres the low down on my car as it sits in winter trim:
2002 WRX wagon
Tein Wagon coil-overs
Ver. 7 STI RA-C engine with AVCS operational
TD04 turbo
Gruppe-S up-pipe
Stock Turbo back
Short ram intake
Custom fuel rail kit
Samco I/C hoses
Ummm, well first I can say is there goes my gas milage.
After getting used to the close ratios and the 65% rear torque bias and being at 3500rpms @ 65mph it's a lot of fun. :)
The car goes through the gears so fast, it's like driving the 6MT witout 6th gear.
The pull in 5th is incredible 60-100 in a few seconds without down shifting.
If you are an avid road racer or autocrosser this is the trans for you.
Maximum Speed per Gear: (with 8200rpm redline)
1st: 42.9 mph
2nd: 64.1 mph
3rd: 85.5 mph
4th: 114.8 mph
5th: 160.2 mph
I can't wait to get the DCCD hooked up and get on the track this year. :D
