I pretty darn sure that's a typo. X is just below S on a keyboard afterall. I don't believe there is a production model know as a 2.5rx. 99% sure it's a RS.

Isn't the RX the SCC modded RS. I think Subaru uses it as a demo now. That was probably a typo.

the RX turbo was made back in the mid 80's and did not have a 2.5L engine...

hey you guys remember that one video of the 22b review from motorweek i think. Well at the end of it there was a comparision to a RX yes i said RX it was just a rs with a turbo from what i could see. Other than that i don't know.

rbehny- that's what i'm talking about. It's a car that Sport Compact Car modified as one of their projects. Subaru took it back and used it as a demo/show/potential car. It's the one they showed with the 22B on Motorweek.

the RX does exist. not sure on its origin or the variation-differences between it and the RS/WRX models. anyway, here are some pictures taken off a motorweek special.

hey look at that second to last picture with the butt of the rx. If i'm not mistaken i think that's a 2.5RS badge. And also if it was a factory car with the turbo it wouldn't boast about how it surpasses the 22b. No car company would let a lower priced higher production model beat a limited edition car.

Yes, that is a 2.5RS badge on the "RX." The RX was a project car done up by SCC and Apex'i on a MY98 RS.

Yes, the 2.5 RX does exist; and yes, I had see that in SCC. They even converted the 2.5RS badge into 2.5RX. This RX has its own RECARO leather seats and their have 2.5RX logo on them. And the floormates also have 2.5RX logo on them.

The name 2.5RX was just a name given to one car by SCC. There wasn't a model from Subaru called the 2.5RX.

As far as this thread goes, it was probably a typo, but it also could have been someone who really believed there was a 2.5RX model.

You would be surprised how many people really have no idea what kind of car they drive.

I think the Aussie version of the RS is an RX and it has a 2.0L N/A engine.
