YES I DID SEARCH :)

Was curious if there was any update, any insiders?? A friend linked me to it, and I have been patiently waiting for aem to produce something, but we have been hearing excuses for 2 years :) think this will be the same?? I am no expert by any means, but their website sounds promising...

opinions??

Vaus,

Thank you for your comment.

audioize,

We are working closely with QDP on this new unit. We have put an apology letter on our site for the delay. We also stated what is going on with production. There are small amount if units being made as we speak BUT they are already spoken for. QDP did not expect the demand to be so high so they are working harder than before to get the poeple what they want.

There is another set being developed in about one month and they will be available in mid April.

This will not be a 2 year wait like AEM by any means, just a month or a little more. :) But in any case I-Speed USA does apologize for the delay as we know everyone is anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

So you are working on reflashed ECUs (re: the posts on the rs25 board) AND the Hydra...sweet! Two new 2.5RS ECU options from a single vendor! :D

I've definitely been keeping my eye on the Hydra. I originally wanted the Link PnP ecu, but then they kept jacking the price of the 2.5RS version up, so what was once a $995 part is now a
$1600+ part! :furious:

That makes the $1350 Hydra a much better deal (from what I can gather it's not only PnP but since it uses its own MAP sensor, I could dump my pesky 99MAF, right?)

This is basically the first I've heard about it since I was sent a PM 4-5 months ago from the guys at Quantum about updating the ECU comparison post. I held off on doing it because it seemed a bit vague and 'vaporware', for lack of a better term.

Bill, if you'd like to go through and make fill out one of the posts like I had done in the comparison post and PM it to me, I would be happy to add it, but I want to be sure that it IS going to happen, and not just 'sometime on the horizon' or 'eventually', as it seems to be at this point still.

Warp3,

Yes you can remove that pesky MAF sensor from the 99RS. Yeah this is a great thing! :)

8Complex,

I understand your concern about another ECU being or not being released. I would suggest for now to NOT post anything about the Hydra Nemesis. As I respect the views of Nasioc on these ECU's. Though we are working on getting this ECU to the public because we believe it will be a great unit!

Most people know we only support products worthy of the I-Speed USA name.

Cheers,

Bill,
I e-mailed the guys at carmodifications a couple of weeks ago about compatibility with some of the domestic stuff (i.e. Chevrolet's new 4.2L inline 6 in the Trailblazers etc.) and have yet to get a response back. Do you have a contact with this company that could find out this type of information please. Any response would be great. TIA -Chuck
