i'm here.. i'd rather have an RS then a WRX anyways.. I like the coupe body style better.. I still like my car as much as i did when i first got it in 98 :D

I'm here! I still love my car and the passing miles only bring us closer together. :p

nah, not becoming extinct. Some of the cars are changing hands, but there's plenty of us that have had one from the day it left its lot. I'm in that bunch. Not at all bitter about the WRX. But I do love my car.

i got so tempted to go for the STI but the body style...man...its getting too big and round....and also my wallet would be crawling up my azz if i need to start all over with payments again...my rs is finally paid for!!! woot woot!!

It seems like they did such a great job in styling the GC, what happened with the 02+ Model Imprezas?

the 02+ jdm wrx's look good usdm ones look odd. the usdm WRX's have poteninal lots of it

auto makes have trends....look at some new cars...they have lots of similarities

I bought my GC8 a mere 6 months ago doing everything I can to avoid the 02+ body style! I'm keeping the GC's alive!!! We may be endangered, but not extinct yet!:banana:

There are plenty of 4+ door "GC"s ya know? ;)

I have a GF8 STi Ver. 3 and a GC6 in my driveway right now. :)

The GC6 is going to a new Scooby owner soon and the GF8 will be titled/plated soon (hopefully tomorrow...says a little prayer to the man upstairs. :rolleyes: )

The day after I got mine my friend with a 2002 WRX had me give him a ride. When we got back he gave me his keys and I took his car on the same trip. Got out glad I got what I did and never looked back.

I don't even think that there's any risk of the GC era cars being on the endangered list; you have to remember that they didn't make many of these cars per year to begin with. A few have been wrecked, etc., so sure the numbers aren't high, but it's not because people are ditching the car somewhere.

drove mine off the showroom floor :lol:

and he's getting a ton of new toys in 2004! :D

where do u live at? im gonna get a CF hood soon and gonna get rid of my stock RS hood no room in the house to keep it..... aspen white and needs to be painted or buffed out if you got white....


u ll need to get vents and hood scoopo also UNLESS i get my 22B vents with my sti control arms next months maybe i can sell the vents with it

And as soon as I've finished fitting out my composite shop, I plan to begin making RS parts, starting with interior bits.

We may have been shunted out of the way, but there's no reason to give up on developing these great cars.

I'm here. Isn't it funny how most people in the WRX's don't know what our cars are? I love spanking them off the line, they get pissed, then give up. Then they ask "what is that!?!?" I just say it's an Impreza. Then they are like "an Impreza what?" Non-turbo 2.5RS. They freak out and say "it's not turbo?!? holy *%&#!. Yeah... old school forever.....:banana: :D

Hopefully I make it back from the UK in time for my one year with my 01 RS :) Right now I'll get back a week later, but I'm going to change my plane ticket for a week earlier. I have a feeling that my RS and my girlfriend are going to get the same treatment when I get back. :D

im still all about the gc8 styling! unfortunately here at school i dont have my car (its sitting back at my mother's place under a cover and tarps :( but come this spring shell be back out!

Still running after 5 years. Lots of dings and dents. Hearing a lot of squeaks and thumps. Just bought a new house so I'll finally have a place to work on my car. My foglight cover got stolen 2 weeks ago and my Zoom mirrors are starting to fall off. Speaking of mirrors, are they still available?

I am rocking the 99 RS. :D . i have had it for 6 months and i swear, i will never let this car go. If it dies, i will have the car completely refurbished with an sti powerplant. 2.5 liter represent. lol.

first car.......... 99 2.5rs WOOOOOOOOOOO:disco: gotta love the 2dr.. i decided to get the GC8 body over the 04+ 2.5ts because i love 2dr and the body is just sooooo much better looking..... can't wait til my engine dies so i can drop in a JDM ej20 engine....... is that wrong??:confused: i need to start washing my car more often though

No that's not wrong at all. That's what Subaru should have done in the first place. The US was one of the places where they didn't offer the wrx engine in the pre 02 Imprezas. Damn shame.
