I'm working on a 88 subaru gl 10 4cyl turbo. To start it you have to give it gas. It won't go over 56mph. If you give it more than half throttle, it won't accelerate. THe turbo light comes on. Does that mean the turbo is working or is something wrong with it. How do i test it? It has new plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, new gas, and air filter. What could be wrong with this car? It runs smooth but lacks power.

The turbo light means the turbocharger is building boost, its good if it comes on.

Not sure about the lack of power though
