Glad you like the turbo gauge. That's a nice setup you're looking to put together.

We are out of the 52mm WRX gauges right now - pretty much all of them. A large order is slated to come in around mid March/worse case end of March. In that shipment is the 02/03 WRX look water temp meter should be available.

My opinion is that if you are already getting the oil temp, the water temp is redundant. I would alway rather get the oil temp before water temp.

The EGT gauges comes with probe and bung. The bung is 1/8PT (aka 1/8 BSPT)

If you need a 1/8 NPT bung, you can order that too. This is really meant to make installation a little easier since most people can get a hold of a 1/8NPT tap.

0260B4U - oil press can alert you of an impending failure. For instance, we had misfitting gasket on an oil filter. I was able to tell something was wrong before the idiot light came on. Idle PSI was 35 after the oil change and 20 PSI one week later.

hnd-kla - We just got off the phone with Omori JPN and they confirmed the shipments of 52mm will be sent from JPN the end of March. We air them in so transportation is never a hold-up. Customs on the other hand can be. They've been as quick as 1 day and as slow as 5 days. Always kind of a crap shoot with them.

DanZ - We price them at a very fair price. Even more so when you purchase them in package. We probably will never do a GB on the 52mm due to the logistics of filling the order. Once we execute the GB, it would take 2 months to get the order manufactured and the gauges sent out to the buyers. Perfect scenario for a customer service nightmare. Lots of people would be interested and lots would be pretty mad by the time the gauges would be finally be shipped out.

DanZ - The 52mm faceplate goes in with some modfication. I am checking in to see if there is any possible way to do it without modificatins but the stock pod has a 50mm opening. I thinks its physically impossible.

Hi all, here's the update. They have been shipped and will leave JPN tomorrow. Still looking at a April 5/6th for the gauges to get to our shop.

DanZ - I have to go measure one and let you know. From a width standpoint, it fits the OEM pod perfectly BUT I did verify that you will need to do some Dremeling/sanding of the top portion of the pod to make it fit. Why not utilize the Autometer 52mm center pod. I've seen it and it looks pretty good. No modifications necessary to fit the gauges.

The gauge that fits in the OEM pod without any modification of the pod itself is the 45mm gauges. The pod opening is only 50mm so some modifications are need if you're looking to install the 52mm gauges.

We are unfortunately out of the 02/03 WRX look boost gauges at this time. ETA is mid June. I will most like end this thread and start and new one when our next shipment comes in.

Thaison was able to get me my 52mm '02 WRX look Water temp gauge!!! :banana: to go with the Boost, Oil temp & Oil Pressure gauges. Check out the pics. Please forgive me for putting them in seperate posts, I don't know how to put them all in one.

I use the Omori T-fitting to install it. Cut the radiator hose and slip the two pieces over. (See pic 3 fitting). I am sure Thaison could get this fitting for anyone who wanted the water temp gauge.

The voltmeter (Nordskog) and the Boost gauge are in the Autometer bezel pod. All gauges are 52mm. Metric Subaru Performance Tuning www.MSPT.net (Huntington, NY) did the install.

Ive tried emailing and calling for the past 2 months and yet no response.

My omori oil temp sensor died on me about a month after install. The wires look frayed. there is no signal going to the gauge. I still cant pinpoint how this happened. I can attach a picture later if it helps.

At any rate, I need a new oil temp probe with wire and connector. I read earlier in the post that Omori has 1 yr warranty. even if its not I still need to get a sender unit from you guys. can you help me out?

senomar - These gauges come with all the sending units, hoses (if applicable) and wiring harnesses for a complete install. The only parts you may need would be the oil galley plug from Subaru (part number 11024AA210) for about $12-$14 to install the sending units for the oil temp or oil pressure gauge. PM or email us with specific configuration requests and we can help you out.

And since we don't have a license to import garment, we are in paperwork hell. Long story short, the gauges will not be at our shop until around 6/22. We are very sorry for the delay but at this point there really is no way of rushing US customs.

We will start a new thread when they arrive.

No worries, we'll put one aside. As for the ring that goes around the 52mm gauges, your friend must have gotten the regular backlight meter. The full color meters do not have that part standard. Only the 02/03 WRX look gauges.

The destruction of the t-shirts couldn't happen yesterday since the "chief inspector" was on vacation and could not leave a delegate. :rolleyes:

We are trying again today. Cross our fingers that the chief inspector has some time to witness and sign off on the destruction.

I'm done ranting about the ridiculousness of customs. These guys absolutely don't care and there is nothing us normal folks can do about it...Our broker is now estimating Friday delivery due to all the delays.

Alright, now we're moving. The "manipulation" of the shipment occurred last night. I've been told that it will clear today and the shipment will be at our shop on Monday.

Midwestrider - we no longer offer the 45mm electrical boost gauge. Just not enough demand because there was no functional difference between the 45mm mech and electrical boost. The 52mm electrical boost has the adjustable warning light while the mech does not so there is value to the higher price in our opinion.

As for the other gauge I believe I quoted you a price on those gauges. If not, the last person I spoke to had the exact same request. :)

wrpmission - We just got in the 52mm mech boost with the red needle and full color backlighting. The price is $145 shipped. We should be able to get that enabled on our shopping cart by tomorrow.

chakming888 - electrical gauges has a sending unit external to the gauge. The only mechanical type gauges we would recommend are the boost gauges. We don't sell mech oil press gauges since that would require a hose carrying 90 PSI of oil through the firewall and into the gauge itself. Mech boost gauges are just as accurate and respond just as quickly as the electrical ones. The electrical ones do come with an adjustable warning light - the mech ones do not. The only gauges for the 04 WRX are the full backlight technology ones. They are pretty much an exact match for the 04 WRX.

wrpmission - We are temporarily out of the EGT for the 04. They will be back in stock around the end of Aug. We have plenty of the boost. PM'ed you with a price.

chewy chunks - The red needles/full color meters do provide a very close match the STi gauges. We have the 52mm's in stock and they do fit the Autometer triple gauge, center pod. We have the mech & electrical boost, elec oil temp and elec oil press available at this time. The EGT gauges are on backorder till end of Aug.

The 45mm package price includes a electrical oil temp gauge. We don't bring in any mechanical oil press or oil temp gauges due to the issues of bringing oil through the firewall. In the package that is quoted, the only gauge that is mechanical would be the boost.

Then I was hoping to get another 45mm mechanical boost gauge to mount in the factory position. *I also need the angle mount face for the factory gauge pack and a pod for the boost gauge in the factory location.*
