And it's cheap as hell! And I really dont care that it came in an envelope w/shop towels, you can't really harm a shifter like that in shipping it. Hey, anything to keep the price down without sacrificing quality.

The whole idea of the kartboy line is economic high-performance. We don't have a shipping department, we don't have a finance department, we don't have a dedicated optical quality department. The idea is function.
The carbon fiber we use is aircraft grade prepreg, not the glossy high resin content type used in BMW and Mercedes peel and stick dashboards. We have worked with all types of fiber/matrix systems, this is the best you will find. A glossy finish is easily obtained with a shot of clear paint. Yes, this is how most show cars are made, the parts are not perfect out of the mold. We could paint them for you, but you'd pay for it. We could also gold plate it too.
We would certainly like to thank all of those who have purchased our products and have overwhelmingly recommended them.
As for shipping, its easier for us to pack into pre-paid envelopes than to ship from a courier. If you wish, we will custom package and hand deliver to the courier for an additional fee. At this point we do not charge for shipping. Your other option is to purchase through Teague's Auto, where they will gladly accept your credit card and ship in whatever means you wish.
Once again, thank you for all of your support.

This is yet another glowing review of Kartboy's shifter. Great short throws and only a slight increase in shifting effort. Aesthetically, it looks much better than the stock shifter. For Legacy owners that are interested, I had no problems installing it on my '00 GT wagon.

As for the envelope and shop towel? My first reaction was "cool, it looks like the shifter came straight from the shop!" It may or may not be true, but that's the impression I got.

where can i get a short shifter for my 1995 impreza 1.8L L coupe? also would i be capable of putting it in my self (if it came w/ instructions), my car maintenence skills are limited to changing my oil and spark plugs, those are the most complicated things, ive ever done, and am capable of doing. but ive heard that short shifters are relitively easy to install.

Got mine through Teague's as well. Great shifter, could be a bit shorter throw tho (just my opinion and I seem to be the only one who thinks so). http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif

Regarding PayPal, if Kartboy does more than $500 in cc payments, they need a business account (reference todays techy news.. they're tightening up). Business account means fees and percentages.

There goes the "everything to save the customer money" bit. I personally have no problem with old fashioned money-orders http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Mmm... even better... mine was wrapped in a Bounty towel and packed with candy! Yummy! Oh yeah... the shifter ROCKS! Well... not as much as the stock one... but that's cause the throws are short... so there's less rocking abouts. LOL!

Mine came in a Priority Mail small box (size of a VHS tape), wrapped in foam sheets. Enclosed along with the bushings was a box of Hot Tamales (candy). http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Just got my shifter last week for my birthday and installed it on Thursday. All I can say is that I think it is the best $125.00 (got the bushings too) I have spent on my car. Love the product, and the shipping with Speed-Snacks was awesome!
Also, does anyone know if this mod will move me out of G-Stock into Street Prepared class for SCCA? Well take it easy, and thanks for keeping it cheap for us not so rich Suby freaks!

I got cheated when I purchased mine from Teague's Auto I didn't get Speed Snacks or a Shop towel. Though I love the shifter and wish I hadn't waited so many months after installing the lever to install the bushings because they make a world of differce.
