Hey guys...

Been trying to avoid it, but I think it's time to start taking some Propecia because I'm thinning a little. I was skeptical until I saw my bro-in-law take it for 6 months and literally regrow about 50% of what he'd lost.

I know I can do the research myself, but I figured there must be some of you that have experience with international online pharmacy websites that I could buy drugs from.

The other thing is...I've read that many people buy the drug Proscar which is another pill but with the same exact active ingredient as Propecia (finasteride). The kicker is, Proscar is cheaper but has 5x the dose per pill (you split up the pills).

Anyone care to chime in?

just shave it and try to look cool. Get some nice head polish and keep it shiny. The rain will bead up really nice.

Nah, Propecia is great. After taking it I got a lot back, particularly on the crown which was beginning to develop a bald spot. Gah! I tried Rogaine but that was a pain in the arse and didn't do much when I remembered to use it. Makes your scalp all sticky too. Stick with the Propecia. It's worth it.

The only side effects I've noticed is that it actually lessens body hair but that's a good thing!

I have hair. My father is bald with a ring of hair around the side of his head and he grows that to make a comb-over

Both my grandfathers have the same deal. Genetics would dictate that I should be too given both were nearly completely bald by 30.

It works.

Can we arrange a group buy for this stuff?
Maybe if we promise to put some decals on our cars...

From the Propecia site:eek:

In addition, some men may have breast enlargement and/or tenderness. You should promptly report to your doctor any changes in your breasts such as lumps, pain, or nipple discharge.

I love American drug companies having to list possible side-effects especially when they are worse than what they are curing.

hmm... yeah my hair is thinning. My dad and his dad look identical, both bald on top, ring around the sides/back. I look just like my dad did at my age and have the same hair. I'm gonna go bald, no doubt about it. My hair has never been thick but is starting to thin more in the front sides and a little in back.

My mom told me that my aunt has been using this topical treatment called Curetage and it works so she ordered me some. I've been using it for like 3 weeks now... i probably should've taken some before pics or something. No change yet that i've noticed but that's to be expected.

If Gramps on your mom's side is bald, there is a great chance that you will be bald too.

I suggest calling and getting the low down on all products before you use one just to make sure that it is the right one for you.

I'm not sure there's really anything to that. Not in my case anyway. My mom's dad had lots of hair (granted it was white) up until he passed away at 84. I'm going bald at 23 though, exactly like my dad. However, my brother and sister both have the THICK hair charicteristic of my mom's side of the family. Two out of three ain't bad i guess... just sucks that i'm the third, lol.

Did that work out alright? I'm thinking about going that direction and that looks to be much cheaper than anything i'm finding at the moment. It's been over a year now, any results?

I ended up doing just what I said, getting Proscar and cutting them, but it was a huge hassle...even for someone equipped with a full biotech lab (sterile small tubes to store the pieces...). I first tried 1/5th by weight, but it was retarded hard to cut pills in 5 pieces....so I went to quarters.

When I ran out I gave up on cutting and just ordered Finpecia...generic propecia...from http://www.unitedpharmacies.com/ Great service...got everything fast (their prices go down as you buy more, so if you buy 300 pills (ten months worth) it's $120. Way cheaper than propecia.

As for how it's working, I'm pretty happy. I had the receeding front sides, so I was getting a severe V in the front, and it was pretty thin too. Now I'm pretty happy with the results for that little money over a year...no seksual side effects as far as I can tell...I might have a bit more body hair or that could just be my imagination.

Anyway...hope this helps you fellow baldies out there. ;)

Drugs like propecia are not covered by most prescription plans, so it would cost an arm & a leg to get it at your local drugstore.
