I was interested in getting a nitrous shot for my intercooler, its on fastwrx.com. i've never heard of anyone ever doing this, its supposed to be safer and it just freezes your boost temps. Anyone know if this is for real?

Yes it works, search on N-tercooler and you'll see maybe a dozen threads that discuss or mention it.

Good for somewhere between 15 - 20 hp, give or take a bit depending on your state of tune.

Nitrous is 2.5 x as expensive as CO2, so from an economic point of view the CO2 is cheaper, and essentially identical in terms of the cooling level.

Ir un the N-tercooler setup and it works great. I run the Nitrous though only cause I have Nitrous refill station in my shop.

You can also just fill the bottle with CO2, which is far cheaper than NO2, and cools just about the same.

Yep, although they will charge a good bit for such a large bottle.
