I went to a dyno for the fist time yesterday with around 15 other subies, We all had a great time and I was pleased
with my results. My best run was 229.8 awhp and 237.0 awtorque. This was a achieved on a dynojet running 93 octane boostining 16psi on the stock ecu with only bolt-ons. I am running pig rich over 4500 and think I can get more power easily with an s-afc. :devil:

Dynojet = high #'s

p.s. With pretty much the same (minus the downpipe) mods I put down 200whp on a Mustang dyno

If those numbers are high, they're like... 2% high.

Good numbers.

it seems like the fully catless, free flowing muffler, ic hose, mbc @ 16psi will get you ~200 whp. that's just about the level of my mods too.

from what i've seen around here that will just barely get you 100 mph in the quarter.

Out of curiosity, did any of the WRX's that went run any baseline numbers? Curious to see what they got.

Stock wrx's were putting down about 180 awhp. An sti with a cat back and shorty intake made 260 awhp.

That may explain the high numbers. I believe stock WRX's are "supposed" to put down around 160 at the wheels.

160 whp is a good realistic number for stock WRX's.

It just depends on dynos. Twilight's dyno is a DynoJet - famous for high readings, and 180+ is right for a stock WRX on a DJ.

ANybody see the editorial a couple months back in Sport compact car about horsepower being a random worthless name for power exerted by engines and the guy wanted to change it to monkey power? Anyway I agree with him and from now On I will say that I have
200 W:disco: power
