yes, the road near UAA, next to the King career center was icy...its the road behind UAA that leads to Northern lights going towards east:(

bumper is ****ed.....theres a huge lump in it now, and its scraped and cracked at the bottom....license plate is bent up.....taillight is sticking out....trunk is bent.............:( :( :mad:

That sucks, man, I'm sorry. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, though. I was thinking destroyed. Whip-lash! Hope you're OK. If you have the time and $$ (ins?) see a doctor if anything painful comes from it (documentation is the bestest). If it was hard enough to even jar you that is. And I'm not talking lawsuit, just your health!

damn! doesn't look like much from a glance but that's expensive to repair...had pretty much the same accident beginning of septmeber...a little over a grand to replace bumper cover, license plate lights and fix the trunk! that really sux! i truly know ur pain and frustration! :mad:

man.....and i love that wing too:(.....grrr....i bet all the **** is ****ed under there too....my bumper sticks out from the side too now......:mad:

i think it is mashed, the bumper is all retarted now....anyways...i guess once i get this fixed, and since it should be covered by insurance.....i guess it really is time for my new car:(

if u didn't call the police to get a report on file, i'm not sure if ur insurance is gonna cover it...did u get the other drivers info?

u have to call his insurance people asap...then goto a body shop to get an estimate for repair!

That sucks man. Insurance companies cannot tell you where to get your **** fixed.

You don't need a police report (at least my ins. didn't) and they may suggest to you where to go, but it is 100% your choice. And they can cut the check to either you or directly to the body shop of your choosing. Again, this is from my personal experience (for my comp.) and the heresay of friends who use other companies.

markel's collision...very expensive body shop...may give u a good high estimate...

Also, there is $$$$$ figure for when you're supposed to call the cops and let them do a report. Your car looks a lot better than the WRB WRX sedan that wrapped itself on the bollard.

A coworker got in an accident and then later the other guy claimed that my co-worker had backed in to him at the light. Had the cops been called, the dealings would've been on record.

Spruce is pretty pricey too, you should check them out...............Too bad that had to happen:devil: I can feel your pain, my celica back in the day was rear ended and had $14000 worth of damages. Still miss her even today.

depends on the extent of the damage if they'll replace or repair stuff...for sure u should get a new bumper cover...the trunk they might just straighten out...taillights if they are cracked they might replace....just make sure u point stuff out when u get an estimate...

no no no and NO. They HAVE to replace everything. Plain and simple an insurance company OWES IT TO YOU to bring EVERYTHING to a BEFORE ACCIDENT CONDITION. Meaning if everything was in perfect shape, it has to be replaced. And you can demand/make sure that is all OEM new equipment, not remanufactured or second hand crap. It doesnt matter if the insurance company doesnt like it or not, they legally owe you that much. Trust me on this, ive had 5 of my cars in a body shop (same one, Able Body on Dowling, my NUMBER ONE SUPER START RECOMMENDATION!) and each one twice or three times over. your fault, his fault, nobody's fault, its all the same. Before accident condition. if your 22b wing was on the car before the accident, which it obviously was, they will put it on the new trunk.

yah take it to able they did a hella of a good job on my doors from the wind storm last year. need to go in there and get an estimate to repaint my car:D

like i said able is my number 1 super star recommendation, remember since his insurance is paying you can take it anywhere that you think will do good work. if they say its like 2000 bucks and it ends up being 4000 they still hafta cover it so you wont pay anything. hey if youre free give me a call, i want to burn thsoe dvd's lol, im getting antsy to try out the upgraded burner

took it to Markels...dealer told me they was good....and after seein all the mercedes they worked on,....they should do good with my wrx.....just hope the wing can come off easily.....they told me id need a new wing in case it doesnt come off easily....
