I love my baby.
But she won't last forever.
I really like the new '05 Legacy Wagon and STi.

Of course I'll miss my RS. How bad did it hit you guys when you sold the last of the two doors?

I loved mine, but, I have to tell you, having four doors does really come in handy. And as light and fun to drive as it was, I'm lovin' my STi.

Had a 99 RS.....to a 02 WRX.....to a 04 STi. No regrets what so ever. No comparison. And I am hoping that the Spec C (if and when it comes) will help me forget the 04.

I miss two doors. When I found out the wrx was only 4 doors, I was purty bummed. I wanted the turbo though.

01RS ---> 02 Wrx ---> 04 Sti and 99 PGT 2.5 RS.

The Sti and my * 2 door * 2.5 rs came on the same day. Nice to still have the car :)

I have more respect for 4 door cars now. These little buggers are amazing.

Sell your coupe and get a 01 RS sedan

ive had 2 coupes 2000 RS lease, wasnt too bummed when I returned it.

I just sold my 98 green RS, it was my dream car it took me 2 1/2 ears to find it, may sound silly but I love the green/gold.

I had to sell it though, ive been without for only one day and im really bummed out about it.

Very difficult,
I sold my 01 RS-t coupe on february 13th,and picked up my 2004 Forester XT. While the FXT is an amazing vehicle, it is not my RS. When I drove the RS-t it was like I was one with the car. When I drive the FXT it feels like I'm driving it, too disconnected.Hopefully the STi suspension and Kartboy SS and the PPP3 will help that.
At least the RS-t went to another member (Speed_Freak27)

:(

That's exactly how I felt after test driving an '03 Wagon. Peppy turbo, I guess, but I just didn't feel "connected".

However, when test driving the STi, I felt like the car was driving me! It took my breath away how fast this car is...and I have driven 400+hp cars.

So, for me, it's either the Legacy GT wagon, or an STi later this year.

The Legacy GT Wagon is pure sex. I may have to trade in my WRX on one :)

My GC6 went to her new owner a bit over a month ago and she's already getting alot of new bit.

Do I regret selling her??? No, I love my STi Ver. 3 GF8 even more than my GC6. :D She's everything I want in a car and I'm adding some nice bit to her to make her even better. :)

No regrets...that's what I'm learning from life. Don't regret anything... :p

But you went from a GC6 to a better looking and more cabable GF8. You kept the great looks and nimbleness of the classic chassis. It was kinda sad leaving my 93 Impreza L for my RS. I still have my L though, so it is all good.

I'll be losing mine within 6 months and stepping into an STi. It's kinda depressing...

I traded my RS in about two months ago for a 2004 TS. Insurance was eating me alive (coupe, no-fault state, and massive salary cut with move and job change) so I had to do something. On the way to a monthly dinner meet, I stopped by the local dealer in Tampa (Mastro Subaru) and just breezed through the lot while waiting for a friend. They had this TS wagon with a price that I just couldn't believe. I got a good finance rate, trade-in, and $750 cash back from SOA. So...no more RS.

The car is now sitting on their used lot and I can't stand to look at it. I just want it sold and taken out of state. It was a very painful experience and I had some seriously good times with the car (4000 mile road trip, meets, fun drives). I miss it, but the TS is still a great car. I've begun some basic upgrades and really enjoy having four doors and the hatch. I've had three previous Subaru wagons and it seems like the TS fits my personality better.

I need to dig up some before and after pictures. :)

I went from a 2000 RS to the 2004 STi. The STi has everything I loved about the RS, plus: HP, semi auto climate control, seat height adjuster, excellent brakes, better interval wipers, etc. I feel bad I won't miss my RS.

Oops, I guess I better change my car's profile! :p

Edit: Profile Changed!!

Wizzard well if anything, it sounds like it (is) was a rewarding upgrade huh?

Yeah but @ certain angles the GF8 is just plain ugly. :)

I could have bought an EVO or an STi or whatever I wanted but now I've got such an unassuming car. Nobody pays it attention even though she's louder than most anything on the road...sometimes I wish I'd meet up w/all the rycers that rev'd @ me in the GC6 with my big Ver. 5 wing. :p

She's perfect for me.

I gave up my 01 rs and sat in an 02 wrx. I miss the 01 but when the boost kicks in i love the turbo...

I searched for months trying to find a coupe RS. I love the car so much, but I am sure I would love the turbo in the WRX and STi. The thing is I don't like the way the GD body Impreza's look. To me they are ugly as sin. I'd rather be down in power and sport clean looks than drive around in a 4 door sedan.

4 doors were never my thing. Maybe when subaru redesigns the Impreza I will change my feelings. But for now I just can't stomach the looks of the GD's. Mechanically they are far superior than my RS and the perfomance you can get out of GD's are truly impressive.

Im keeping mine until it is no longer driveable. If I want and STi that bad, I would pay for the swap into my car before I would trade my RS in.

I absolutely whole-heartedly agree.

My RS will be paid off in a couple years. After that I'll just buy a big pickup, or a wagon, if I need more room. My RS is here to stay, and eventually it will see some forced induction, in due time.

Mine is paid off (living with your parents is good sometimes), that is just another reason I will never say goodbye to it.
