tribegolfer 03-16-2004, 01:50 PM What sort of weight saving are you looking at when going to the type I or type II chassis bars versus stock? Thanks.
Adam
Z1 Performance 03-16-2004, 03:29 PM There are no factory underbraces........
Z1 Performance 03-23-2004, 09:48 PM bump!
NewShockerGuy 03-27-2004, 03:27 AM Got a question on the type 40 cusco strut bar... how does this differ from the normal strut bar?
Do you have the first one that is angled for the front strut bar and the straight one with the v-brace for the rear... or would I have to order the combo and add the v-brace onto the total?
Thanks :-)
-Nigel
EDIT better yet is this the front strut bar that is packaged in your package deal?

From your web site:
The Type I lower arm bar is made of tubular aluminum to help reduce weight over the stock bracing without compromising strength. Coated in the classic Cusco blue paint, it offers years of protection against the elements while adding to the overall look of the bar. The Type I bar is a 2-point setup and includes all the required hardware for installation. It bolts on easily using normal hand tools.
.....which is the reason why I didn't order one from your site the other day, because I am not too concerned about weight saving at this point in time. Couldn't recall seeing a brace like that on my car, but it's been a while...
Z1 Performance 03-27-2004, 04:17 PM I cannot even recall ever selling a Type 1 for a WRX...everyone does the Type II.
New Shocker - the Type 40 is a round polished aluminum bar that is 40mm thick. The OS is a flat oval shaft bar. The one you pictured is the OS
The rear V brace (aka the OS-T) is an optional rear bar that triangulates the rear strut bar to the trunk floor. In order to fit the OS-T, you have to have Cusco's OS rear, Type 40 rear or Type Carbon rear strut brace as well.
Adam
NewShockerGuy 04-03-2004, 02:47 AM Don't want to ask stupid questions but will this work on an 03' wrx... as far as the cusco strut bars... I click on the link above and it states this on your site.
"Cusco Strut Braces for Impreza (1993-2001 model)"
Just wondering if it will work?
Thanks,
-Nigel

Also have Tein Basic and Super Street coilovers for all 2002-2004 WRX sedans, wagons and STi's in stock.

The Type Super Street steps it up with 16 way dampening adjustment, and includes pillowball mounts. Also compatible with the EDFC, which allows you to adjust the dampening from inside the car, plus store your favorite settings! Priced at $1360.00 shipped with pillowball mounts, or $1719.00 shipped with the EDFC.
