I'm interested in buying this combo. I recently went to track, and have "driven my car spiritedly" for over a year now, shifiting fast and launching occasionally. I've always had problems with the 1-2 shift. After going to the track, i feel that that the clunk that i get with the 1-2 shift really impedes my times, along with the 1.9xx launch. Anyways, on a thread in proven power bragging "Whats your take on my times?" , i think two members agreed that new tranny mounts, speciifically the STI gruppe N mounts, would significantly help my situation because of second gear "bottoming out". Do you know if your tranny mounts would help (meaning could you tell me the use)? If so i would buy on the spot..

The tranny mount is one of those must have mods for these cars IMHO - it dramatically improves overall shifter feel, and the car simply feels much more "together". Motor mounts help in this regard as well, adn get rid of the "dance" the stock engine does during load transition, startup, etc.

Silver bolt - while different mounts, the Cusco ones work on both 6MT and 5MT I am told

If anyone can verify the tranny mount works on the 6MT I will take a set. Do you also have the pitch rod?

The 5MT and 6MT use exactly the same tranny mount, so I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

THANK YOU Z1 Performance for the over night shipping my mounts were shot... :banana: you deffinatly got my buisness again.. These mounts are AWSOME!
My engine doesn't move anymore.. and just feels more solid... probably just the butt dyno thinking that.. but that's my .02 ... just a note for all of those who have Borla Heads on thier cars... u will have to drop the heads off the motor cause u can't raise it high enought to get the mounts out... and remove the drivers side 1/2 shaft... but if you have done this kinda of stuff b4 it's a snap...

How is NVH with these? Is this something that will give you a headache after awhile or is it pretty transparent? I always heard the Cuscos were VERY stiff and somewhat harsh. Thanks.

nvh is really a relative term in all honesty - they are stiffer than Group N's for sure, but not really noticeable from a vibration standpoint

These mounts are pretty nice. Way different looking from any other mount i've seen though. No complains about harshness here.
