Carbotech
The Bobcat compound is a street and autoX compound that would work for light track use. The Friction Coeffiecient (Mu) is 0.50-0.55 and a temp range of about ambient up to 900F.

The Panther Plus compound is good for AutoX or moderate track use, and can be used on the street. The Mu is 0.54-0.56 with a temp range of about 150-1250F.

The Panther XP is a race compound that while it could be used on the street it is strongly not recommended. This pad will withstand prolonged use on the race track without fading. The Mu is a lofty 0.58-0.60 and the temp range is from 250 all the way up to a scorching 1350F.

I apologize for the discrepancy. The pads are free shipping, but the brake hoses are not. Your shipping cost was based soley on the weight of the brake hoses (2lbs), the weight of the pads was not included when calculating your shipping cost.

Type1, Are you looking to actually change the rack ratio or are just looking for more response without an actual ratio change? We don't carry anything in the way of steering racks, but we do hvae a few items that can help to increase steering response. The Noltec steering rack bushings will help a little with steering response. Also, tightening up the suspension with springs, sway bars, end links, etc. will go a long way in increasing steering response. Rear end links like the Kartboy or Noltec links are a cost effective way to gain some suspension response. They are easy to install too. :)

We got a big shipment of Noltec parts. The steering rack bushings are back in stock. Also, we got a bunch of Noltec front camber plates w/ the MRT logo on them. These plates are identical in every regard to the Noltec plates that we normally carry except that they have the MRT logo on them. They are priced to move at $225 shipped.

We are also now stocking the "race" front camber plates that don't incorporate the poly ring. They are recommended for anyone running springs over 350lbs.

I looked at the Oakos online webpage and noticed it was not clear if the camber plates will fit an STi.

Has anyone tried it yet? I have a set of Tein Basic coilovers that need some upper pillowball mounts and I have not been able to find anything other than Cusco that will fit.

I am not sure if they will work with the H&R coilovers. Do the H&R coilovers reuse the stock strut top? If so the Noltec plates should work just fine. I'm sorry, but the special for the Noltec/MRT plates does not include the race plates.

No, they do not have user adjustable damping rates. Progress does offer re-valving so if you ever wanted to change spring rates you could adjust the dampening accordingly.

Mike, I am really not sure when the Goodridge hoses will be back in stock. I am actually quite frustrated by the whole thing, I ordered more of them months ago. For an '03 you will probably need a pair of the 10mm bleeders and a pair of 7mm bleeders. Check the product description on our site for detailed instructions regarding how to confirm the sizes for your particular application.

I saw the instructions on your website. Only problem is I do not have the 4-pot calipers with me. I'm waiting for them to be shipped to me. I was hoping you guys knew which size so I could order them now instead of later.

I have seen both sizes on the Subaru 4 pot calipers before. I am not sure why Subaru made the change or which years/dates are which. That is why we recommend confirming the size before ordering so there isn't any surprises when installing them. :)

We don't carry the Prodrive springs (YET!), but neither those or the Eibachs lower the car excessively. I have the Eibachs on my car with the KYB AGX struts and the ride height isn't "slammed".

oops! sorry. I actually meant the progress springs for 02 wrx sedan. They will lower the front 1.8". Ive heard that anything above 1.5" will probably blow the strut...this is why im asking...also do you have any pics of your car lowered with the eibach's? Id love to see them and it will help in my decision. thanks!

The wheel diameter shouldn't make any difference. However, overall diameter and width could come into play depending on if you have a sedan or wagon and how you feel about fender rolling.

The regular plates have a thin poly ring to help insulate NVH. The race plates are solid without any poly. Noltec does not recommend using the regular plates with springs over 350lbs.

John, yep, those are the "regular" version with the poly ring. :)

hossak8, they are much more rigid than the group N mounts. The group N mounts are pretty much completely rubber compared to the plates which are entirely metal with what is essentially an O ring of poly to take some of the "edge" off of NVH. Ride height increase would probably be in the neighberhood of .5".

I am interested in the Noltec Front Sway Bar End Links for an 03 wagon. From the picture it looks like it reuses the stock nuts and bolts that go through the endlinks. When I look at the picture of the sedan front end links from Noltec they appear to come with a new set of nut and bolts (at the same price). I ask because on one side mine are slightly rounded so if possible I would like to replace them and am wondering if I should get new OEM nuts/bolts or if the Noltec kit comes with new front end link nuts/bolts on the wagon. I hope my question is clear and thanks in advance!

The sedan links use hardware that is slightly different than the stock hardware, that is why it is included with the links. The wagon links use the stock hardware, and therefore it isn't included in the kit. If you need new hardware I'd recommend getting it from a dealership or a hardware store.

I am not sure when we will be getting more of the Carbotech rotors in stock. I know that they were experiencing some supply issues and that is why we haven't had them in for a little while. We now carry rotors from a company called Racing Brake. They are very high quality rotors and are offered in two different materials. The less expensive material is similar to the Carbotech rotors. The more expensive material is formulated to withstand the most demanding racing conditions. Check them out on our website and let me know if you have any questions.

hkswrxwagon, most likely you will need the 10mm for the front and 7mm for the rear. However, it is recommended that you confirm those sizes. Most of the 4pots take the 10mm bleeders. You will want to confirm the size because there are some 4pots out there that have 7mm screws in them. The rears are most likely 7mm.

You can confirm the size by using a wrench to determine the hex size of the screws. A 10mm wrench = 10mm bleeders. A 8mm wrench = 7mm bleeders.

Rally Punx, The combo includes the regular bleeders not the SS bleeders. In all honesty, the SS bleeders are not needed. I've had the regular bleeders on my WRX for nearly 3 years now and they still look nearly brand new. That's with our harsh Michigan seasons and salted roads in the winter time.

Actually, sometime in late '02 Subaru changed the front calipers which have 10mm bleeders. AFAIK, all '04's have the 10mm bleeders up front and the 7mm's in the rear.

yes I did. finally had some free time. did all the things that the instructions said. resurfaced, bled, and bedded in.


they are feeling great. break dust seems to be less than the OEM 4 pot pads. fit and finish is great, and the install went with out a hitch.
